I have transitioned from a thirty year career as an investment analyst, primarily covering energy, chemicals from a global perspective, in search of attractive public market investment opportunities. Since the late 1990s, my focus has been on the entire energy landscape, from fossil fuels to renewable and low carbon sources and their supply chain, with focus on the current and prospective economic value of the full range of energy options. In addition to “Best of the Buyside” honors, I’m proud to have been an early instigator and co-founder of the Off Wall Street Investment Roundtable, a unique investment conference featuring C-suite energy executives and investors, focused on fundamental issues and opportunities across the spectrum. The world desperately needs objective “all energy” conversations with the Off Wall Street format.
In recent years, I have taught Sustainable Finance, consulted on decarbonization strategies, served as a board member for the Massachusetts Clean Energy Center, provided expert witness research and testimony, and mentored/invested in energy-related startups.
On this site I hope to continue my role as an “equal opportunity critic (and analyst) across the energy landscape, by providing independent perspective along with useful outside data and information on related topics/issues of interest.
I will shortly publish a blog on my most recent carbon-related efforts, as part of my search for decarbonization pathways that make economic, not just political, sense for all.
I welcome opinions, data, and questions on mutually interesting topics, communicated in a respectful manner.
